You can update your phone number anytime, but currently your email can not be changed once an account has been created.
How to update phone number:
You can update your phone number directly from your Bree account. For security, verification is required during the process.
Steps:
- Go to Settings > Personal Information (mobile) or Account Info (web).
- Select Update Phone Number.
- A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your registered email address.
- Enter the email OTP to confirm removal.
- Enter your new mobile number.
- A second OTP will be sent to your new phone number.
- Enter the phone OTP to verify.
- Once completed, your phone number will be updated automatically.
Tips:
- The first verification code will be sent to your registered email address.
- The second verification code will be sent to your new phone number via SMS.
- Make sure you enter the number linked to your Bree account.
- You must have a strong cellular signal to receive SMS codes.
- Bree is only available in Canada. You must be physically located in Canada to receive verification codes.
How to update email address:
Unfortunately, each Bree account is permanently tied to the email it was created with and cannot be changed.
To use a different email:
Create a new Bree account with the new email
Connect your bank account
Your account history, including repayment history and credit limit, will carry over automatically
